Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – New Albany, OH (Onsite)

Pay: $32.00–$35.00 per hour (Hourly)

Client: PPG – Automotive Refinish Manufacturing

Shift: 1st shift, 7am–3pm

This role keeps production equipment running safely and efficiently so PPG can meet tight delivery schedules and maintain high quality for automotive refinish customers. Your work helps minimize downtime, support continuous improvement, and ensure the plant operates at peak performance. This is an immediate-need role with strong long-term growth potential inside a global manufacturing leader.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and aligning equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Diagnose root causes of failures and perform corrective actions.
• Replace relays, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
• Work with 480V, 240V, and 120V circuits (single and 3‑phase).
• Install and order replacement parts as needed.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend equipment upgrades.
• Work safely in confined spaces, elevated platforms, ladders, and on roofs.
• Document all maintenance and modifications using CMMS.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas aligned with 6‑S standards.

Must‑Haves

• 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Certified Maintenance Apprenticeship Program or Mechanical Institute Certificate.
• Ability to read technical documents, manuals, and CAD drawings.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Basic fabrication and pipe fitting (compressed air, water).
• Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting.
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• HVAC or electrical experience strongly preferred.
