Experienced Commercial Painter

The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is currently seeking professional painters with at least 2 years of experience in commercial painting, including both brush and spray applications . This is a full-time opportunity for local work , with immediate openings available. Experience in historic restoration is a strong plus.

TTG is a nationally recognized, award-winning contractor specializing in historic building restoration and rehabilitation . We self-perform a wide range of trades including masonry, roofing, architectural metals, carpentry, and painting. As a 100% employee-owned company , TTG operates from three regional offices across the Midwest and Southeast, with a strong commitment to preserving architectural heritage and community values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and protect work areas according to safety and project standards
• Scrape, clean, and prepare surfaces for painting
• Repair and restore surfaces prior to priming and painting
• Apply primer and finish coats to achieve a high-quality finish
• Perform detailed work independently with minimal supervision
• Work with single and multi-component paint systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial painting
• Proficient in both brush and spray techniques
• Familiarity with single and multi-component paint systems
• Strong understanding of surface preparation standards
• Knowledge of painting tools, equipment, and cleanup procedures
• OSHA 10 certification required before starting
• Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
