CNC Maintenance Technician - First/Second Shifts

A manufacturing and supply company is hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and consistency of CNC machining operations through proactive and corrective maintenance on various systems. Openings are available on both first and second shifts with additional overtime as required.
Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance tasks for CNC equipment following manufacturer and plant protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance activities, equipment service, and logs.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues on CNC machines using root-cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
- Conduct component repairs/replacements, inspect, align, and calibrate CNC machine parts for optimal performance, and collaborate with PLC and CNC controls for operational testing.
- Recommend enhancements or adjustments to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and safety, and contribute to process improvement projects in cross-functional teams.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations during equipment repairs.
- Provide technical support to operators and production staff on machine operation and maintenance, and assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new CNC machinery.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining CNC lathes, mills, or similar precision machining equipment
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with PLC/CNC control diagnostics (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar)
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude to work with diverse systems
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and preventive maintenance schedules
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail, commitment to safety, and quality maintenance practices
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50-pound loads
- Required safety gear includes eye and hearing protection, safety-toed shoes recommended
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player spirit
- Compliance with safety procedures and regulations
- Consistent attendance, punctuality, and commitment to assigned shifts
