Power BI Developer
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Power BI Developer in Westlake, TX. This is a Tech lead role who will be responsible for managing a team of developers and analysts to deliver business value by coordinating with Architects, Analysts and Product owners.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/similar technical subject area and or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of built reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Experience with large-scale data visualization
- Hands-on experience working with Snowflake data warehouse, including integration, data modeling, and SQL querying
- Hands-on experience with SQL & Performance Tuning in relation to Snowflake queries; Ability to work with large datasets efficiently
- Extensive experience in Data engineering, Data Modeling and Data analysis
- Experience with CI/CD for BI & Data Pipelines
- Experience with Snowflake-specific features, such as Snowflake data sharing, Snowpipe, or Snowflake Streams
- Strong experience in navigating organization structure
- Strong experience in removing team's blocker
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.) and the ability to design scalable data models
- Conceptual understanding of embedding reports in portal environment
- Knowledge of Power BI governance, security settings, and user access management
- Understanding security roles (RLS) implementation within Power BI
- Understanding best practices and implementation of standards within Power BI reports
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot data or report issues
- Excellent communication skills required
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure in relation to Snowflake
- Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M Language), Semantic model development and custom visuals
- Hands on Java/Python skills
- Critical thinking and the ability to work in an Agile environment
