Technical Sales Manager

Kingscote Chemicals is a small, family-owned manufacturer of industrial chemicals and dye products, best known for Bright Dyes products. Everyone at Kingscote works toward a common goal - working as a team to serve our customers and deliver the highest quality products. We are looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager to help us grow and improve our existing metal finishing product lines and develop new products and formulas based on customer feedback.
What you will do:
Drive Sales Growth
- Build and manage relationships with existing customers
- Identify and reach out to new prospects to create lasting customer relationships
- Identify potential new markets for our products
- Generate quotes and proposals to secure new business
- Use problem solving skills to answer questions, provide technical assistance, and develop solutions to support customers and prospects
- Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to grow the metal finishing product lines
- Occasionally travel to trade shows, industry events, and customer sites
Product Development
- Conduct research and development for new products and improvements to existing products
- Partner with production team to test product and process improvements to better serve customers
- Research, develop, test, and/or revise existing and new product formulations for new or existing products to meet customer expectations
Customer Service
- Respond to questions related to Safety Data Sheets and/or Technical Data Sheets
- Run the anodizing process as needed for current or new product needs
- Process customer requests for dye bath testing and color matching
- Prepare and distribute COAs for anodizing customers
Miscellaneous
- Provide ad hoc analytical support related to products, production, sales, etc.
- Provide ad hoc production and administrative assistance as needed

- Is driven and self-motivated to drive growth and serve our customers
- Can innovate and solve problems
- Has been successful in previous B2B industrial sales roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of sales experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ year(s) of dye experience preferred
- 1+ year(s) of metal finishing chemistry experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to coordinate several projects
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Demonstrated strengths in teamwork and communication
