Job Description

We are seeking Entry-Level Data Center Laborers for a major data center construction project. This position is ideal for candidates looking to enter the construction, telecom, or OSP field. No prior experience is required as training will be provided onsite. Join us to support outdoor labor tasks for data center construction projects and contribute to the installation of OSP infrastructure, including conduit, duct bank, and pathways.

Responsibilities

• Support outdoor labor tasks for data center construction projects.
• Assist with OSP infrastructure installation such as conduit, duct bank, and pathways.
• Move materials and equipment, keeping the job site clean and organized.
• Dig trenches and prepare pathways for cable, working in dirt and mud.
• Assist with microduct and cable pathway preparation.
• Comply with safety requirements and PPE standards.
• Take direction from supervisors and field leadership.
• Work occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

Essential Skills

• General labor skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Experience in construction.
• Must have OSHA 10 certification.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs.
• Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and focus on attendance.
• Willingness to learn construction, specifically OSP skills.
• Ability to pass a drug test and bckgd check.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous telecom or low voltage experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work is primarily conducted outdoors, in all weather conditions including hot, cold, rain, and wind. Contractors should be prepared to get dirty and perform physically demanding tasks. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7am to 5:30pm, totaling 50-hour weeks, with plans to add Saturdays soon.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, OH.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
