Talbot Health Services is a behavioral health organization committed to providing structured and supportive recovery housing across Ohio. Our Mansfield Recovery House offers a stable, accountable environment for individuals in early recovery. We are seeking a dependable Housing Technician to support daily operations and ensure resident safety and consistency within the program. We are seeking a male for our male housing, 2nd shift (2PM TO 10 PM)
Position Summary
The Housing Technician provides resident oversight, completes routine safety checks, and helps maintain a calm, structured, recovery-focused living environment. This role is non-clinical and centered on accountability, safety, and supportive monitoring. It is well suited for someone who is reliable, patient, and able to uphold expectations with fairness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor resident activity and maintain a safe, sober, respectful environment
- Conduct scheduled rounds, safety checks, and house walkthroughs
- Enforce house rules, curfews, visitor policies, and sign-in/sign-out procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation including shift logs, incident reports, and resident interactions
- Provide supportive guidance, basic redirection, and de-escalation when needed
- Communicate concerns to leadership following the proper chain of command
- Assist with routine facility tasks such as chore checks and general cleanliness verification
- Support resident orientation, meetings, or accountability discussions as assigned
- Follow emergency and crisis response procedures and notify appropriate staff immediately
Schedule and Work Environment
- Hourly, non-exempt role
- Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends, or holidays depending on program needs
- Position is fully on-site at the Mansfield Recovery House

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in behavioral health, residential settings, corrections, peer recovery, social services, or related fields preferred
- Reliable and professional, with strong boundaries and sound judgment
- Comfortable managing structure, enforcing expectations, and de-escalating tense situations
- Basic documentation and communication skills
- Must pass all Ohio-required background and compliance checks for behavioral health employment
