A day in the life

You arrive to a temperature-controlled, clean environment, review the day’s specification sheets, and line up fixtures for the first run. You dial in laser parameters on the Visual Laser Marker (VLM), confirm CNC-driven settings, and execute crisp, traceable laser etches. Between cycles, you move parts through ultrasonic cleaning, blasting, tumbling, and passivation, verifying finish quality at every step with measuring devices and your excellent hand–eye coordination. Assemblies are completed and verified, products are boxed and labeled, and 5S standards are restored before the next lot. Throughout the day you communicate clearly with teammates, maintain safe production practices, and keep pace with quality and quantity targets.

Core work you’ll own

• Finish precision-machined medical devices to customer specifications.
• Laser etching using VLM software with mastery of setup and operation.
• Ultrasonic cleaning, blasting, tumbling, and passivation to defined standards.
• Assemble components; box finished products and apply labeling materials.
• Read, understand, and follow specification sheets, SOPs, GMPs, and GDPs.
• Use measuring devices, hand and power tools; uphold all safety rules.
• Maintain area organization to 5S expectations and meet company/area goals.
• Perform quality checks and recommend rework for nonconforming items.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What sets you up for success

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 months related industry experience/training, or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret drawings/blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math for tolerances and variation; strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast pace.
• Fundamentals of CNC concepts, laser parameters, and fixture concepts.
• Skilled with measuring devices; mechanically inclined with solid dexterity using hand and power tools.
• Excellent vision and hand–eye coordination; proven safe production habits.
• Computer programming literacy (Visual/Basic script) and fluency with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
