Paint Application Technician

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

• Responsible for the preparation of application equipment, calibration, and operating to apply coating samples for R&D testing.
• Operates laboratory testing equipment related to coating quality confirmation.
• Responsible for the preparation and sprays application of panels & collects data
• Communicates discrepancies to supervisor, Technical Team, Laboratory Manager or Chemists
• Conducts other sample on application system as specified by customer
• Utilize appropriate safety methods, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment
• Prepares data collection results and consults with supervisor as needed
• Meets ISO/TS/Honda/Toyota and other customer’s standard operating procedures in all activities performed
• Responsible for equipment maintenance per schedule.

· Assist other departments as needed

· Perform other duties and handle special projects as assigned

• Participates in 6S and other corporate initiatives

Education

Required

Minimum High School Diploma

Alternative

Equivalent of a High School Diploma

Experience

0-5 years of previous coating application preferred

Specific Skills

· Ability to perform mathematical conversions

· Good communication, written and organizing skills

· Basic skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc…)

Salary Range

$19.00 to $28.32 hourly; $39,520.00 to $56,640.00 annually.

Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skillset.
