Schedule & Shift

• Day Shift – 8-Hour Shifts (40 hours/week)
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Heart & Vascular Sonographer to join a hospital-based Heart & Vascular department. This role involves performing high-quality, non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound procedures in both echocardiography and vascular imaging.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transthoracic echocardiography, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team. This opportunity offers exposure to advanced imaging technology and a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images using ultrasound equipment
• Review patient history and clinical data prior to examinations
• Ensure accurate documentation and complete study records
• Adhere to established imaging protocols and quality standards
• Educate patients and families on procedures in a clear, professional manner
• Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Assist with scheduling urgent and add-on cases as needed
• Maintain workflow efficiency and support patient throughput goals
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and supply readiness in work areas
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and process improvement initiatives
• Stay current with evolving imaging protocols and continuing education
• Attend departmental meetings and training sessions

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound training program
• Minimum 2+ years of echocardiography experience
• Strong proficiency in transthoracic echocardiography
• Solid understanding of ultrasound imaging standards and technology
• Knowledge of DICOM systems, networking, and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both cardiac and vascular sonography
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance practices
• Prior experience in a hospital-based imaging setting

Certifications & Compliance

• One of the following certifications required:
  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) – ARDMS
  • RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) – CCI
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) – ARDMS
  • RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) – CCI
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (Required)
