Tray Pack Supervisor
Primary Purpose
Leads the daily operations of the Tray Pack department by ensuring people, processes, and resources are aligned to meet established goals for quality, efficiency, yield, and safety. Maintains consistent production performance through strong leadership, adherence to regulatory standards, and proactive problem‑solving.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures daily production goals are met by maintaining proper staffing levels, coordinating workflow, and monitoring line performance.
- Follows and enforces all SOPs and Good Production Practices to maintain compliance and operational consistency within the Tray Pack department.
- Monitors product quality and packaging specifications , addressing defects promptly and implementing corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with food safety regulations , including identifying and correcting deviations related to HACCP, sanitation, and pre‑operational requirements.
- Drives performance toward key department metrics such as BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A‑Grade percentage.
- Follows all HR and Safety policies , including timely completion of Kronos and Oracle HCM tasks, safety training, and required certifications.
- Supports employee development and accountability through coaching, communication, and consistent application of company policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required .
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated supervisory experience in lieu of degree; previous poultry or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with HACCP principles and application.
- Understanding of USDA regulations related to sanitation, pre‑operations, and production oversight.
