Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Goldberg Legal is a nationally recognized civil litigation law firm based in Solon, Ohio. We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in litigation support. In addition to supporting our attorneys, this role will work closely with and provide assistance to the firm’s Senior Trial Paralegal .

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting attorneys with managing and organizing case files, both electronic and physical.
• Maintaining and updating case calendars, deadlines, and court dates.
• Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
• Filing legal documents electronically in state and federal courts.
• Assembling exhibits and trial materials.
• Communicating professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Providing administrative support, including scanning, copying, and document organization.
• Coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys, clients, and experts as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of client and case information.

Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic case management systems.
• Familiarity with litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
• Excellent communication skills -- both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in a legal assistant or litigation support role is highly preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
