Shipping Clerk

Job Title: Shipping Clerk (1st Shift) ($18-20/hr.)

Join our team as a 1st shift Shipping Clerk working from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. You will play an integral role in coordinating and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer service to coordinate orders, picking and packaging parts for shipment.
• Manually pick and pack products following specific work instructions.
• Check bins and follow parts lists for over 55,000 products in the warehouse.
• Utilize computer software for FedEx and UPS to print labels and package boxes weighing between 5-45 lbs.
• Stage orders for FedEx pickup and assist with inventory and cycle counts.
• Cross-train in other departments, including traffic coordination.
• Obtain hazmat certification for shipping.
• Identify and gather correct product items and quantities using FIFO order.
• Perform data entry in UPS and FedEx shipping software.
• Operate pallet jack as needed in a fast-paced environment, especially between 1-4pm.
• Engage in repetitive tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of shipping experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in picking and packaging products for shipping.
• Proficiency in using computers for printing labels and navigating Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a shipping coordinator or in logistics.
• Knowledge of LTL, cycle counting, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with FedEx & UPS procedures.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse as part of a team of 6-8 people. No steel toe boots are required. This role involves manual picking without RF scanners or barcodes, ideal for those who can navigate using part numbers. The environment is busy, yet collaborative, fostering a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chagrin Falls, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
