Teachers - Alternative School - ESC of Medina CountyPosition SummaryThe Educational Service Center of Medina County is seeking qualified, student-focused educators to support students in our Alternative High School program. This half-day position assists students as they work toward earning credits for graduation through an online learning platform. Teachers provide academic support, supervision, encouragement, and guidance while helping foster a respectful and responsible learning environment where all students can succeed.This opportunity is ideal for retired teachers looking to remain active in education, as well as educators seeking a flexible, part-time teaching position.QualificationsBachelors degree or higher requiredAppropriate Ohio Department of Education licensure requiredClear criminal background check/documented evidence of a clear recordValid Ohio drivers licenseEssential ResponsibilitiesSupport students in the Alternative High School programAssist students with required coursework and provide tutoring as neededMonitor student progress and encourage academic successMaintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other educational dataCreate and maintain a positive, respectful, and structured learning environmentProfessional ExpectationsSupport and implement the ESCMC philosophy of Making Yourself IndispensableMaintain positive working relationships with ESCMC staff, contracted schools, and partner agenciesRepresent the ESCMC professionally at all timesDemonstrate integrity, professionalism, and ethical behaviorMaintain confidentiality regarding all student and job-related informationAttend required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunitiesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceFollow all ESCMC policies, procedures, and administrative guidelinesSalary: $25/hourHours per day: 4Days per week: Up to 5Contact: If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Krauss at [email protected]
