SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Maintenance Machine Cleaner position maintains, services, conducts cleaning, and minor repairs on buildings and equipment. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering. Assists Maintenance Technicians and other workers with their tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

• Cleaning of equipment.
• Lubrication of barringings, conveyers, and chains.
• Minor mechanical repairs.
• Machine adjustments.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Adhered to all safety policies and compliances.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School or GED equivalent
• Able to operate a forklift
• Able to operate aerial lift equipment
• Mechanically inclined
• Computer skills
• Knowledge of how to use power tools

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member.
• Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities of the job with some supervision.
• Must be flexible.
• Careful attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Sufficient hand, eye, arm, and finger dexterity to perform maintenance on the facility and equipment when needed.
• Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking while also performing repetitive tasks.
• Prolonged periods of bending/twisting throughout a work shift.
