Job Description

This entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians while supporting the maintenance and repair of office, retail, and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on office, retail, and industrial buildings under supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC components, as appropriate to skill level.
• Participate in a rotating schedule to provide 24/7 emergency building support once training and onboarding are complete.
• Use basic hand tools and specialized tools safely and correctly for maintenance and repair tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 1+ years of maintenance experience, or equivalent hands-on exposure in a related setting.
• Basic experience or familiarity with building maintenance disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical repair.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and learn to use specialized tools safely and effectively.
• Reliability and strong work ethic, including the ability to respond to maintenance requests and support a rotating emergency schedule.

Work Environment

You will work across a mix of commercial and industrial properties, supporting office, retail, and industrial buildings. Technicians may be stationed at an office near downtown or serve as a roving technician across multiple properties in the Columbus area, providing variety in day-to-day tasks and locations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $43680.00/yr.
