Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Quality Control Technician for our client. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electronic sub-assemblies & assemblies to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Inspect sub-assemblies, and final products using industry-standard equipment and techniques (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, microscopes).
- Perform functional and in-circuit testing of electronic boards and systems.
- Support root cause analysis of defects and nonconformities; assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAR’s & SCAR’s).
- Document and report inspection results, test data, and quality deviations using internal systems (e.g., ERP or QMS software).
- Participate in audits (internal and external) and assist in compliance reporting as required.
- Work closely with and regularly communicate with Engineering and Production teams to improve product quality and resolve technical issues.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment as needed.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality inspection procedures, control plans, and work instructions.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in electronics testing, quality control, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and wiring schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiar with quality tools and techniques is a plus (e.g., 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone diagrams).
- Certifications (Preferred): UL508a
- Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for working with small electronic components.
- Ability to lift to 50lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
