Part Time | Days/Evenings (11 am - 7:30 pm)
*** $15/hr to $16.80/hr Based on Experience ***
Department: Assisted Living
Shift: Part Time working 11am-7pm, 16 hours per week

The Cook supports our mission and values by providing high quality food service to all residents and employees; promoting optional nutritional status for each resident by providing a diet in accordance with physician's orders and consistent with the resident's ethnic, cultural and religious and general food preferences and restrictions which the facility can readily accommodate.
The Cook's primary responsibilities include:
- Prepares meals according to menu and ensures meals are served in a timely manner.
- Coordinates dietary functions and/or special events.
- Responsible for prep work for next day.
- General sanitation procedures, including performing tasks on a cleaning schedule, daily sanitation evaluations, maintaining a clean work area at all times, etc.
- Responsible for washing pots and pans.
- Records daily temperatures on foods, and on refrigerators and freezer.
- Informs dietary manager of any diet changes from nursing.
- Responsible for preparing foods for special activities.
- Responsible for putting stock away.
- Attends dietary meetings.
- Attends facility in-services.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do I need for this role?
- A High School Degree or equivalent in preferred
- Prior cooking experience in a restaurant or institutional setting is preferred but not required
- ServSafe Certification is a PLUS, but not required
