Posting Number 20165949S The Accessibility Services Specialist position includes both case management and operations responsibilities such as screening an overflow caseload of students with disabilities during registration peak times, as well as reviewing documentation for expedited accommodation approval of common accommodation requests. This position will oversee the implementation of future database upgrades/relaunches. Primary accountabilities include: 1) Conducting student intake screenings for overflow caseload during office peak times, and reviewing documentation of disability for expedited approval of common accommodation requests. 2) Maintaining the Accessibility Services data management system and providing records/reports to university stakeholders to aid access services/accommodations related to campus transportation, note-taking, and class registration. Overseeing future data management system upgrades. 3) Identifying and acquiring items needed for academic and programmatic accommodations as required by Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, such as accessibility devices, in collaboration with Accessibility Coordinators and other accessibility staff. 4) Overseeing case management intake processes for Accessibility Services. Serves as escalation point for classified and student staff. Assessing student, employee, and community requests/needs and connect to appropriate resources. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling or related field A minimum of one year of work experience.
