Job requirements

• Oversees generating and distributing customer invoices and processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manages payment schedules, including electronic transfers, check runs, and wire transfers, and monitors and manages the company accounts.
• Entering invoices, reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies, reviewing, and approving account payable batches for accuracy and completeness.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and handle payment and billing issues with customers to resolve discrepancies.
• Lead the collection process, including negotiations and payment plans for delinquent accounts.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AP/AR operations.
• Train and mentor junior team members, guiding best practices and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in-depth knowledge of accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions within established guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 or more years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting roles.
• 2 or more years of experience in a senior or supervisory role.
