Position: Sales Manager - Meat Overwrapping Films (US Central & Canada Region)

Education:

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales with a strong understanding of the Meat Overwrapping Films Market in the US Central and Canada Region .

Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in Sales , Business Development , or Packaging Material Procurement within the Meat Industry .

• A strong desire to learn and promote Forvara® Polyethylene-based Meat Overwrapping Films , a sustainable alternative to conventional Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) films.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Meat Overwrapping Films segment through outreach, networking, and market research.

• Pursue prospective Meat Processors and Packers across the US Central and Canada regions.

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and key decision-makers.

• Arrange meetings and product testing sessions with relevant stakeholders, including production , quality , packaging , and procurement teams.

2. Technical Analysis & Product Alignment

• Analyze the technical and functional requirements of Meat Wrap Films used by prospective customers.

• Assess their Auto-Tray Wrapping Machines and recommend the appropriate Polyethylene Film variant as an alternative to PVC films in consultation with the Technical Services - Product Development Team .

3. Sales Targets & Forecasting

• Achieve and exceed sales targets set .

• Prepare forecasts and contribute to strategic plans for business growth in the Meat Wrap Films segment.

4. Technical Coordination & Issue Resolution

• Collaborate with the Technical Services - Product Development Team and customers' Quality Assurance Teams to resolve concerns regarding compliance, performance, and technical feasibility.

• Communicate packaging requirements to the Technical Services Team to facilitate the development of custom film samples.

5. Manual Overwrapping Films

• Liaise with customer Quality and Procurement Teams to coordinate pilot runs and testing across various locations.

• Develop strategies to convert prospects into long-term customers.

• Maintain relationships with existing clients to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

6. Auto-Tray Overwrapping Machines

• Schedule testing and attend sample trials at prospective customers' facilities.

• Provide guidance on machine adjustments based on make and model, consulting with Technical Sales Specialists and Technical Services Teams .

• Troubleshoot operational and quality issues for various auto-wrapping machines (e.g., Omori, Ossid, Digi, Ishida, Mettler Toledo, Ulma, Fabbri, Hobart, Bizerba ).

• Contribute to internal case studies and documentation for process improvements and machine calibration best practices.

7. Industry Collaboration & Machine Manufacturers

• Maintain positive relationships with auto-wrapping machine manufacturers to exchange insights and fine-tune performance at customer facilities.

8. Testing, Reporting & Product Finalization

• Obtain and review test reports (e.g., shelf life , operational performance , downgauging comparisons ) from prospective customers.

• Share insights with the Product Development Team to finalize film specifications and formulations.

9. Commercial Discussions & Negotiations

• Discuss pricing, supply chain preferences, and terms with customers' sourcing teams.

• Coordinate with the Costing Team to prepare proposals and lead negotiations, balancing profitability with target pricing.

• Seek guidance from senior management to finalize agreements and improve conversion rates.

10. Market Intelligence & After-Sales Support

• Gather market intelligence and feedback from industry stakeholders.

• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide after-sales technical and operational support.

• Address customer complaints and troubleshoot on-site as needed.

11. Team Leadership

• Lead and guide the International Business Development - Meat Films Team (based in India) to build and manage the regional sales funnel.

12. Reporting & Coordination

• Adhere to business development practices, values, and culture.

• Coordinate closely with the International Business Development Team and the Production & Technical Services Team at the Manufacturing Facility in India .
