The IT Functional Analyst – Human Resources analyzes, designs, and implements technology solutions that meet the needs of the HR function. This role gathers and documents requirements, provides functional expertise across HR systems — including HRIS, payroll, performance management, and recruitment platforms — and ensures seamless integration with other business applications. Partnering closely with HR, IT, and external consultants, the IT Functional Analyst optimizes the use of technology and keeps HR systems and processes aligned with organizational goals.
As an HRIS Functional Analyst , you will:
- Gather and analyze requirements by partnering with HR stakeholders to understand business needs, conducting workshops and interviews, and translating findings into technical specifications and recommended process improvements
- Implement, configure, and integrate HR systems — including HRIS, payroll, and learning management platforms — working with IT teams to connect HR systems to finance, time-tracking, and ERP applications while ensuring smooth data flow and identifying integration gaps
- Lead change management and system updates by supporting upgrades, patches, and new releases, aligning system changes with business requirements, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and organizational security policies
- Manage HR technology projects end to end, including resource planning, budget, and timeline, and coordinating across HR Business Partners, IT technical resources, and external consultants to meet milestones efficiently
- Collaborate with external consultants to bring in specialized expertise, align consultants and internal stakeholders on objectives and deliverables, and facilitate knowledge transfer into the internal HR ecosystem
- Develop and maintain documentation for HR systems, processes, and workflows, including configurations, integrations, troubleshooting procedures, user manuals, best-practice guides, and FAQs
- Provide training and knowledge transfer by creating materials and leading sessions that help HR teams adopt new features and use HR tools consistently and effectively
- Deliver reporting and data analysis by ensuring accurate data flow across platforms and helping HR teams generate reports and dashboards that surface key metrics and performance insights
As an HRIS Functional Analyst , you have:
- 3+ years as an IT Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role in a Human Resources or technology environment, including proven work with HR technologies such as HRIS (UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP), payroll, and performance management tools
- trong understanding of HR processes — recruitment, employee lifecycle management, payroll, benefits, and compliance — and how they intersect with IT systems, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and specifications
- Proficiency in SQL, data integration tools, and reporting systems; familiarity with HR analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), cloud-based HR/SaaS platforms, web technologies, APIs, and system integrations
- Experience with user access control, software updates, and ongoing system maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across internal teams and external partners
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and produce user-friendly documentation and training materials
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred:
- Experience working with external consultants or vendors to implement and support HR technologies
- Familiarity with HR data management and reporting platforms in a multinational or multi-region environment
