Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Workshop Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and assembly of equipment and tools in our workshop. This hands-on role involves assisting senior technicians, performing troubleshooting, and helping ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the workshop.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred)

• At least 1 year of factory-related experience (shipping/receiving experience a plus)

• Ability to read and write English; strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic math skills and ability to follow verbal instructions

• Valid driver's license and good driving record

• Forklift certification (or ability to become certified)

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and willingness to learn

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required

• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the repair, maintenance, and assembly of machinery, tools, and equipment

• Perform basic troubleshooting and inspections to ensure tools and equipment are in good condition

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment

• Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments; inspect for damage or shortages

• Package finished products and prepare shipping materials

• Track inventory, maintain stock of shipping materials, and record transactions in computer systems

• Keep workshop and warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

• Support daily warehouse operations, including consolidation and routine cleaning

• Assist with facilities maintenance as needed

Work Environment:
This role is based in a warehouse/workshop setting, with occasional outdoor exposure. Safety equipment (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) is required. The position involves standing for extended periods, operating machinery, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly (and occasionally heavier loads).
