Hardware Engineer

**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Hardware Engineer** for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation ice-breakers and enhancing the Navy and Coast Guard's polar mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands. _This position is contingent upon award news, expected early 2026._ **Job Duties:** + Perform review of system engineering documents for stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution for USCG Polar Security Cutter C5ISR systems + Plan and delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables including contract CDRLS in support of program requirements + Develop, update, and maintain project engineering documents including stage 4 and 5 test procedures, ICDs, Block Diagrams, schematics, technical and operational manuals for C5ISR systems + Support the proactive identification and mitigation of risks · Assess C5ISR hardware configurations (eg, cabinets/trays/fixtures/sway braces/cables/connectors) and perform engineering environmental qualifications analysis (eg, vibration, shock, EMI) Please view our program page for more information and to view all open positions available: jobs.saic.com/CutterC5ISR **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems: radio communication racks, Interior Communications (Alarm/Safety/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System.
