P-Speech Language Pathologist

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Salary Range: $38-$48 per hour

Job Type: Full-time 30 hours per week Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)

Facility: 60-bed SNF facility

Job Summary:
As a Speech Language Pathologist you will be responsible for evaluating diagnosing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with patients their families and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their speech and language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients speech language and swallowing abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals

- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve their speech and language skills

- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on communication and swallowing strategies and techniques

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients

- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in speech language pathology

Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

- Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferably in a skilled nursing facility

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of speech and language disorders

- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation procedures
