General Labor / Grinder Job description and General Duties

**Shift/Time for Full-time: **

2nd Shift (3pm – 11pm); Monday – Friday

• Must be able to train on 1st shift working 7:00am – 3:00pm.

Pay: $20/Hr

Skills to perform the job:

·

High School or better

• Math skills

·

Knowledge and use of micrometer for inspection

·

Knowledge of torque ratchets for proper tightening and safety on wheel changes

·

Lifting and loading of saw bodies

·

Pulling and removing of saw bodies with handheld magnets to unload machines into drying racks

·

Pushing and pulling loaded carts to next work center

·

Able to use hand grinder to de-burr both sides of arbors holes and copper plugs to ready for grinding

·

Able to lift 5 to 40 pounds repeatedly (saws and grinding wheel changeovers)

·

Clean and remove used grinding material and metal shaving from equipment and work area

• Able to maintain and balance numerous job changeovers and set-ups while meeting or exceedingestablished productivity and quality goals

- Work independently and with a team

Regular dependable attendance and punctuality

General Duties:

Operator is required to run multiple grinders that are set side by side or across from one another and run both back and forth to maximize output. This requires attention to detail, standing, twisting, bending, and moving at least 8.0 hours per day. The area is wet with grinding coolant on the machines and floor so safety and good work skills are a must.
