Title: Vice President of North America Manufacturing

Reports to: President of North America Division, Dayton Lamina Corporation

Based at: Dayton, Ohio facility

Job purpose:
The Vice President of North America Manufacturing is responsible for driving operational excellence, cultural leadership, and profitable growth across our manufacturing operations. This leader will shape the long-term manufacturing strategy while simultaneously delivering KPI performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. This role requires a hands-on, visible leader who can operate at both the shop-floor and executive team levels.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Develop and execute a multi-year manufacturing strategy aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
2. Provide managerial and supervisory direction and support to manufacturing, engineering, supply management and quality personnel.
3. Serve as a key member of the North America leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy.
4. Own operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity, ensuring achievement of budget commitments
5. Ensure manufacturing supports aggressive service and growth commitments to customers.
6. Establish disciplined, data-driven reporting processes that provide accurate, timely performance visibility to both internal leadership and corporate stakeholders, enabling proactive decision-making and accountability.
7. Complete analysis of operational results and implement timely corrective actions to drive sustained improvement and ensure alignment with corporate performance expectations.
8. Develop, present, and execute the annual operating plan, including manufacturing and capital expenditures, ensuring disciplined cost management and alignment with strategic priorities.
9. Establishes quality systems and processes to ensure customer’s product quality is achieved.
10. Ensures that a safe work place exists and meets all local and federal requirements in addition to meeting all environmental regulations are met.
11. Oversee production planning, capacity management, and workforce alignment to ensure efficient product flow and reliable on-time delivery.
12. Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean principles and structured problem-solving to drive measurable gains in cost reduction, scrap reduction, and productivity.
13. Maximizes the utilization of manufacturing resources through rigorous review of production processes and evaluation of in-house and outsourcing opportunities.
14. Develop and coach operational leaders through structured performance management, succession planning, and capability development to build long-term organizational strength.
15. Maintain a strong, visible presence within operations, fostering engagement, accountability, and alignment across all levels of the manufacturing organization.
16. Works collaborative with cross-functional departments for the success of the overall business.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience (Plant Manager or higher)
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business required; MBA preferred
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets, capital plans, supply chains and personnel performance.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, motivational and collaborative skills.
• Demonstrated success leading lean transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Other job responsibilities will be assigned by management as required and as appropriate to the position.
