A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.

Your Typical Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to and supports the Business Owner.
• Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment.
• Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enthusiastic personality.
• Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!
• Likes children/working with others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children/Adults
• Swimming experience: 1+
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained through British Swim School)
• Patience and understanding with children

We invest in quality team members to teach our lessons with the mindset that we are two schools in one, a survival school first and a learn-to-swim school second. As a result, we can support our mission “to ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer”.

Schedule:
We are currently looking to hire Monday and Wednesday afternoon/evening and Saturday Mornings at the Tri C Metro location.
