No CDL Event Operations Lead Job

GENERAL PUPOSE OF ROLE

Borrow’s Event Operations Lead is responsible for leading a delivery crew and executing our delivery / setup according to floor plan and/or event coordinator. Once the event is over, the Event Operations Lead will be in charge of the breakdown.

As for non-delivery work, he/she will be working in the warehouse under the instructions of Operations Manager for projects (carpentry and/or upholstery) and other daily warehouse tasks that need to be accomplished.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruits and coordinates delivery team members for all customer deliveries.
Directs team and completes all tasks related to setting up and tearing down of rented items when a service is ordered by a customer.
Drives truck to deliver rental items to appropriate venue. Notes any problems on site including missing or damaged inventory, missing or damaged inventory or damage to the venue and reports to Borrow’s owner.
Determines required equipment for pulling and loading rented inventory based on event pull sheet.
Pulls and loads rented inventory with delivery team assistants and other staff assistance.
Inspects inventory for damage prior to loading.
Confirms correct items are loaded for delivery by checking with order pull ticket.
Ensures tool kit including all non-rental equipment such as screw drivers, tape, rags, stain, wax, hammer, etc. is loaded and brought to event site.
Acts as Borrow representative with clients - listens to and works to solve any customer complaints.
Collects any unused containers/bags/goods from venue following delivery.
Loads truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Completes delivery and pick up within timeframe agreed upon with customer.
Maintains cleanliness of inside of truck cab and truck cargo areas.
Attends meetings as requested by Borrow owner.
Ensure delivery team adheres to Borrow’s specifications for handling of inventory per the Training Manual.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must maintain valid driver’s license with good DMV record. Must obtain DOT Medical Card before first shift.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma; at least two years moving experience, preferably with delicate inventory

Light Carpentry Experience (preferred)

Light Upholstery Experience (preferred)

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the Event Operations Leadis required to move over traverse grounds, ascend/descend ladders, move heavy equipment from floor to heights up to 5 feet. Frequently carrying, stacking and unstacking of equipment and inventory, carrying and moving equipment an inventory to the appropriate storage area, and loading and unloading equipment and inventory onto lifts, dollies, forklifts and and/or trailers and trucks. Must frequently carry, lift, push, pull or move up to 100 pounds to a height of 3 to 5 feet; and occasionally carry, lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with the assistance of moving equipment or coworker to a height of 3 to 4 feet.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Event Operations Lead will be exposed to the the typical range of weather conditions experienced in Ohio. Warehouse is heated but air conditioning is limited.
