Our client is a leading aluminum manufacturer with an employee-first culture. Our client provides advanced extrusion, engineering, casting, fabrication, assembly, quality, and testing services across seven industries globally.

Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000 / Annually

The Senior People Business Partner will serve as a strategic, trusted partner to plant leadership at our client's Leetonia, OH, manufacturing facility, designing and managing people programs that align HR deliverables with business needs and model the organization's core values. This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR leader who upholds open communication between employees and leadership as a core value, leads organizational design and succession planning, and develops leaders from within. The Senior People Business Partner will lead key projects with the broader HR team and cross-functional partners, while actively fostering a workplace culture in which employees are engaged, trained, and set up to succeed.

As a Senior People Business Partner, you will:

  • Serve as a strategic, trusted business partner to site leadership, providing direction on training and development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management
  • Spend meaningful time in the production facility engaging employees and supervisors, maintaining an open-door presence where concerns, questions, and ideas can be raised and addressed in real time
  • Coach supervisors and managers through employee relations matters, corrective actions, performance management conversations, and the creation of employee goals and development plans
  • Provide feedback to senior HR leadership and site leaders on organizational issues and challenges requiring executive-level resolution
  • Lead site talent acquisition activities, including participation in field marketing events, candidate interviewing and selection, application processing, background checks, and coordinating post-offer physicals and drug testing
  • Manage onboarding end-to-end, including safety orientations, culture introduction, and review of employment documentation; conduct 15, 45, and 90-day stay interviews to drive retention and refine the new-hire experience
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Operations on temporary staffing — ordering, terminating, and tracking temp workers' performance, attendance, and length of service to inform conversion decisions
  • Drive organizational strategy to support growth and change, identifying high-potential performers and partnering with leadership on succession planning
  • Partner with HR leadership to develop, revise, and consistently administer policies that create a culture of fairness and clarity across the site
  • Lead performance review and compensation cycles, calibrating performance across operations and managing the timing and execution of reviews and pay events
  • Champion wellness, engagement, and preferred-employer initiatives, including employee roundtables, wellness committee participation, and company events such as picnics and family activities
  • Ensure HR compliance and reporting, overseeing legally required records, monitoring legislation and industry trends, and partnering with the Total Rewards team on competitive compensation aligned with business plans
  • Coordinate project execution using proven project management methodologies to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • As a Senior People Business Partner, you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with 5+ years in an HR leadership role required
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility, with a demonstrated pattern of being visible, accessible, and present on the production floor
  • Employee relations expertise, including investigations, conflict resolution, change management, and HR program implementation
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with the ability to envision and implement new approaches to complex, competitive business issues
  • A demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization and build trusting relationships that drive results
  • A working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (OH & PA)
  • A strong knowledge of HR systems and payroll, including timekeeping platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a high level of attention to detail, sound judgment, and the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

Preferred:

  • HR certification: SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple sites or states

Work Details

  • Work Location: Onsite in Leetonia, OH (5 days per week)
  • Placement Type: Direct Hire
  • Estimated Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
