Travel MRI Tech Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio healthcare jobs
• Setting: Hospital – Inpatient & Outpatient clinical support
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist (Locum Tenens)
• Shift: Evening, 5x8-hour shifts (3:00pm – 11:30pm), includes every third weekend
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Average Daily Caseload: 35-40 MRI cases
• Electronic Documentation: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2520-$2580

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Valid Ohio State License (submittals without OH license accepted)
• Prior travel MRI tech experience required
• Proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment
• Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans for neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, oncology, stroke, and trauma patients
• Support both inpatient and outpatient imaging services in a hospital setting
• Operate Siemens MRI equipment and manage images using PACS
• Conduct advanced imaging procedures: Fusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing (ADC mapping, subtraction), Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion, Spectroscopy, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T1 & T2 Weighted Imaging, Spine Imaging (Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Accurately document procedures and patient data in EPIC
• Float to weekend shifts as required
