We are the Fuchs Mizrachi School , a leading Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School located in Beachwood, Ohio. Educating and inspiring students from age two through twelfth grade, we are motivated by a real passion for deep, meaningful learning and leadership.

Our Humanities Department is looking for a Full-Time Upper School History Teacher to join our team starting in Fall 2026, teaching Junior High and High School history courses . The ideal candidate is a lover of history, a skilled storyteller, a close and careful reader of primary and secondary sources, and a dynamic presence in the classroom. They help students develop a nuanced understanding of the past and grow into strong historical writers who craft clear claims, support them with relevant evidence, and explain their reasoning. This teacher engages students in historical inquiry, fosters rich discussion, provides detailed and timely feedback, and motivates students as readers, writers, and thinkers.

Successful candidates will also possess the following broader qualities and mindsets that are a critical component of the Fuchs Mizrachi’s culture:

• Show a genuine and authentic interest in the growth and development of young people and a joy in working with Junior High and High School students with varying abilities, interests, and needs.
