Grant Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Grant Analyst to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. This is a contract position within the non-profit sector, offering an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects through meticulous grant management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with funding requirements. Responsibilities: - Review grant proposals, applications, and agreements to verify accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. - Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, ensuring proper allocation of funds and adherence to funding guidelines. - Conduct detailed financial analyses and create comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders, funders, and auditors. - Track timelines, deliverables, and reporting deadlines to ensure grant compliance and successful execution. - Assist program teams in preparing budgets, forecasts, and spending plans for grant-funded initiatives. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant awards, amendments, disbursements, and closeout documentation. - Collaborate with auditors, finance teams, and program staff to promote transparency and accountability. - Identify risks, discrepancies, or compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions. - Stay informed about changes in federal, state, and private grant regulations, policies, and best practices. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Proven experience in grant management, financial analysis, or a related field. - Strong understanding of compliance requirements for federal, state, and private grants. - Proficiency in financial management software and tools for reporting and analysis. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple grants simultaneously. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance. - Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in grant management.
