Nursery Attendant

As a Nursery Attendant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the health and appearance of our nursery’s trees and shrubs, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and helping them find the perfect plants for their needs. This is an active, hands-on position ideal for those who enjoy staying busy, working outside, and seeing the results of their efforts. If you prefer fresh air to fluorescent lights and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities
- Water and care for trees and shrubs to maintain their health and appearance
- Keep nursery beds, containers, and displays clean and organized
- Assist with unloading trucks and stocking trees and shrubs
- Price and label merchandise and maintain signage
- Help customers locate appropriate trees and shrubbery for their needs
- Assist customers with loading mulch, trees, and other products into their vehicles
- Support general upkeep and cleaning of the nursery
Qualifications
- Ability to stay on your feet and active throughout your shift
- Comfortable lifting 25–75 lbs regularly
- Able to bend, reach, and move throughout the day
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including weekends
