Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the secure, efficient, and compliant transportation of cannabis and cannabis products between Buckeye Relief facilities and licensed dispensaries throughout Ohio. This role ensures adherence to all applicable transportation regulations, company SOPs, and security protocols while representing Buckeye Relief with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Security

• Safely operate company vehicles equipped with GPS and secure communications in full compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload cannabis products using approved procedures and locked storage compartments.
• Maintain and carry accurate manifests; ensure secure chain of custody throughout each delivery.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Verify shipment quantities, packaging integrity, and documentation before departure.
• Follow route schedules and security protocols, adjusting as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
• Work the Command Canter as required to check employees and visitors in and out of the building.

Regulatory Compliance & Incident Response:

• Maintain proper identification and state-issued badge during all transportation activities. • Communicate promptly with the Warehouse Director regarding route changes, delays, or security concerns.
• Report incidents, accidents, or emergencies in accordance with internal SOPs and regulatory guidelines. • Ensure all transport activities are documented accurately and submitted on time.
• Professionalism & Operations
• Maintain professional conduct and customer service standards at all times.
• Assist warehouse and logistics staff with loading, packaging, and secured returns as needed.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to transport efficiency, security, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Must be a registered employee with the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control and possess a valid badge certificate.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow delivery routes and schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain manifests and reports.
• Effective communication skills and ability to remain calm during incidents or delays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass all required background checks and meet state eligibility requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous delivery or transportation experience in a regulated industry.
• Familiarity with cannabis industry compliance standards and transportation requirements.
• Experience with secure logistics, fleet operations, or GPS routing systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to security protocols.
