Available shifts will be discussed during the interview process:

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Additional Requirements:

• Rotating Weekends
• Rotating Holidays
• On-Call Coverage Required

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse – Operating Room is responsible for providing safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care. Candidates must be able to both circulate and scrub across a variety of surgical specialties while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Experience circulating and scrubbing in multiple surgical specialties

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active Ohio RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I Trauma Center experience
• CNOR Certification

Service Lines

Candidates must be able to circulate and scrub in multiple specialties, including:

• General Surgery
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT)
• Plastic Surgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Ophthalmology
• Neurology/Neurosurgery
• Pediatrics
• Thoracic Surgery
• Robotic Surgery

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across multiple surgical specialties.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Accurately document patient care and surgical activities.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Respond effectively to emergent surgical situations.

Technology & Systems

Experience with the following systems is preferred:

• Epic
• Pyxis
• Vocera
• Microsoft Outlook

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 250 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
