About Us:
Center for Creative Childcare is a faith-based preschool dedicated to nurturing young hearts and minds through a Christ-centered environment. We serve children ages 2½–6 years and operate under the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) licensing regulations. Our team is passionate about helping children grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically through love, structure, and creative learning.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant / Floater to join our preschool team! This individual will provide support across multiple classrooms as needed and assist lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate and faith-based activities that align with ODJFS standards and our preschool’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in carrying out daily lesson plans and activities
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment
- Support children’s social and emotional growth through positive guidance
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization according to ODJFS health and safety standards
- Step into different classrooms as needed to support staff breaks, absences, or ratio coverage
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and families
- Model Christian values through words, actions, and attitude
Qualifications:
- Must meet ODJFS staff requirements for child care centers
- Previous experience working with young children preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various classroom settings
- Dependable, flexible, and patient with a heart for children and ministry
- Must pass a BCI/FBI background check and meet all ODJFS health and training requirements
