Remote Server Build Engineer

Job Description

An employer is seeking 1 server build engineer to create and deploy 15 Microsoft Windows Server 2019 virtual servers in our Hyper-V virtual environment as well as install MS Defender on Windows Server 2019 servers across the company's production environment. These servers will be created and deployed in both the UAT and Production environments. The engineer should be capable of navigating Hyper-V and Windows Server 2019.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience building and deploying Windows Server 2019 virtual servers in a Hyper-V environment

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy, including server hardening and policy troubleshooting

Proven ability to follow repeatable server build processes across UAT and Production environments

Experience supporting security and compliance requirements, including InfoSec submissions and remediation of scan findings

Hands-on experience installing Microsoft Defender on Windows Server and removing legacy antivirus solutions (e.g., Trellix)
