Job Description

This person will oversee a project's technical design efforts, detailed design development, project coordination, and quality control throughout all project phases. This role requires close collaboration with the design team, attention to detail, a foundational knowledge of building codes, and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Proficiency in BIM is essential, and professional licensure is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and documentation of projects from schematic design through construction documents.

• Translate design intent into clear, coordinated, and accurate construction drawings.

• Develop detailed wall sections, assemblies, and architectural details aligned with project standards and constructability.

• Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and quality control throughout all project phases.

• Coordinate architectural work with consultants including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty disciplines.

• Perform drawing reviews and participate in internal QA/QC processes.

• Assist in identifying and resolving conflicts prior to construction.

• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and zoning regulations.

• Work closely with designers, project managers, and interior design team members in a collaborative studio environment.

• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings and internal design reviews.

• Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits.

• Assist in addressing field conditions and maintaining design intent throughout construction.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Architecture, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Working knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

• Professional licensure is preferred but not required.

• 5+ years of professional experience in higher education, recreational, corporate, hospitality, retail, health/wellness, religious, or related projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
