Production Lead

JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead 2ndshiftTeam Member! Position starts at $24 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.Leadingateamofhourlyteammemberstoachievebusinessresults.

a.Achievestargetsinasafeandefficientmanner.

b.Coordinatesactivitieswithproduction,procurement,maintenance, warehouse,andqualitydepartmentstoachieveandsustainresults.

c.Supportsteammembersbymaintainingavisiblepresenceonthe production floor.

d.Maintainsanengagedandteam-orientedworkforce.

2.ProvidesSupporttoCompanyPoliciesandProcedures.

a.Createsanenvironmentthatexpressesconcernandconsistency toward all team members.

b.Promotescooperationanddedicationtosuperiorworkmanship among all team members.

c.Providestrainingforteammembersoncompanypolicies,rules, regulations and job specific duties and responsibilities.

d.MonitorsandenforcesadherencetoGMP’sandspecifications.

Maintainshighlevelsofsanitation,housekeepingandproductquality.

e.Followdailyworkscheduleandreportsvariances.

f.Encouragesbestuseofenergyandresourceswithminimalwaste.

3.Mayassumeotherdutiesasassigned.

Qualifications

• HighSchooldiplomaorequivalentrequired.
• FamiliarwithGoodManufacturingPractices(GMP)andHazardedAnalysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs. SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus.
• Mustbeabletomotivateadiverseworkforceandleadbyexample.Mustbe able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
• Mustdemonstratecriticalthinkingskillsandpossessaproblem-solving mentality.
• ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficesuite
• Abilitytospeak,read,andwriteEnglish
• Goodverbalandwrittencommunicationskills
• Bilingual(Spanish)preferred
• Goodmathskills

Work Environment

Mayrequireworkingonfeetforlonghours,bending,andstooping.

Mustbeabletohearaverageornormalconversationsandreceiveordinary information.

Mustbeabletofrequentlyandregularlyusewrists,hands,andorfingers.

Average,ordinaryvisualacuitynecessarytoprepareorinspectdocuments,products, or operate machinery.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Must be able to work for long hours in a food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold.Temperatures are frequently around 34 degrees, and employeesareexpectedtoremainintheseconditionsforthemajorityoftheirwork
