Travel RN – Neuro ICU Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Total Hours: 36 per week
• On-Call: Required
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
• Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Charting System: Epic EHR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Neuro ICU nursing experience
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

Neuro ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex neurological conditions (stroke, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, post-op neurosurgery)
• Perform advanced ICU procedures: IV starts, arterial and central line management, ventilator and ICP monitoring, EVD management
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and sedation as needed
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as required
• Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EHR
