QA ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Engineer with deep experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated functional test suites. The right candidate will be able to develop and execute performance & load tests to validate scalability and reliability. You will collaborate with engineers to define testable requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Build and maintain test frameworks and tooling.

• Execute targeted manual testing when automation is not practical.

• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.

• Validate bug fixes and prevent regressions.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze test results and performance metrics.

• Advocate for quality, reliability, and testability across the product.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar

• 3–6 years of experience as a Software QA Engineer or SDET

• Strong experience with test automation for web-based SaaS applications

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar

• Experience designing and running performance/load tests using tools like: k6, JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or similar

• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language: JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar

• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals and test design

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Ability to debug issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers

• US Citizenship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience testing APIs and microservices

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

• Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability concepts

• Experience testing authentication, authorization, and role-based access

• Exposure to chaos testing or reliability testing

• Experience scaling test automation in a growing SaaS product

• Experience testing billing, payments, or usage-based system

• Familiarity with containerized or distributed systems

• Passion for performance, reliability, and system quality
