COMPREHENSIVE JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Off-site Janitor/Contracts

REPORT TO: Business Services Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Inc. is one of the “best kept secrets” in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The organization operates 10 retail stores, is an eCommerce seller, works with community partners to provide business services solutions, and ultimately uses the revenue it earns to assist the Mission Services department in providing services to assist individuals in finding, maintaining, and advancing in employment.

We are seeking an empathetic, resourceful, and highly motivated Off-Site Janitor to join our team to support janitorial contracts in Columbiana County. The Offsite Janitor works independently at off-site location and performs janitorial duties according to customer specifications and requirements. Employee will travel to off-site locations and empty trash containers and dispose of properly; clean rest rooms and re-supply; clean kitchen; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust fixtures and furniture; clean windows and arm or disarm security system if required by contract. Employee will maintain a record of hours worked and submit as required. Will also submit requisitions for supplies to supervision.

Employee will adhere to Universal Precautions and contact supervisor for clean-up of any waste regulated by Blood-borne pathogens standard.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED

A high school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.

HOURS WORKED

The employee will work part-time with possibility of full-time; hours and locations may vary.

May vary, but normally five days a week.
