Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to provide administrative coordination and support for our HR department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, employment law, and employee relations, while contributing to the successful implementation of local, regional, and corporate HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day HR support to associates and supervisors, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations, onboarding, exit interviews, and leave administration.
Administer HR programs related to compensation, benefits, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and workers’ compensation.
Maintain personnel records, benefits, and compensation data, and prepare required statistical and compliance reports.
Support recruitment and staffing efforts in partnership with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition.
Assist HR leadership in executing engagement, diversity, and inclusion programs.
Manage HR systems including Workday, eTime, and other payroll-related activities.
Contribute to HR process improvement and vendor selection for HR services.
Handle unemployment claims, OSHA reporting, and transitional return-to-work processes.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of HR generalist experience required.
Workday experience highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
Experience administering compensation and benefits programs.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred (or equivalent training and experience).
