Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Unit: Labor and Delivery, High Risk Obstetrics (6 Doan Hall)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2050–$2100
• Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
• Unit Beds: 13
• Daily Census: 10
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• IV start and Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (at least one from a supervisor or nurse manager)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk obstetrics setting
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and antepartum care
• Administer medications, IVs, and blood products as needed
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using EFM and other clinical monitoring equipment
• Support breastfeeding, provide postpartum care, and educate patients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to antepartum and other hospital units as required
