This job posting is for a Warehouse Loader with a pay range of $18.15 to $20.25/hour plus shift differential.

The Warehouse Loader employee will safely operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) or clamp truck to transport material, product and supplies throughout the facility. They will load trailers with finished product and materials, coordinate material delivers throughout the plant to ensure zero machine down time and perform routine machine cleaning. They understand and align business operations and Warehouse Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

W ORK SCHEDULE: Night Shift 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. (either C or D shift)

Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends. Opportunities to move to day shift schedule available!

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following .

• Work within and adhere to GPI’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.
• Safely operate PIV/forklift.
• Receive all paper, cartons, machine parts and plastic for lids.
• Supply departments with needed material, product and supplies.
• Utilize the RF computer system to transport product accurately and timely.

• Load and inspect trailers.
• Process spoilage.
• Ensure balers are operating efficiently.
• Operate up-enders to process rolls.
• Clean areas and machines as scheduled.
• Operate the floor scrubber.

• Responsible for assuring production of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation and quality standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

• 1 -2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior PIV/forklift experience preferred.
• Must complete PIV/forklift training program; training to be provided by department.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

• Warehouse schedules are up to 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off. However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Climbing on/off PIV up to 130 times in a 12-hour period
• Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull wheeled carts with up to 1,600 lb. load.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
