Coffee Service Route Sales Specialist

About the role

Picture your day starting at 7:00 a.m., truck loaded and route tablet in hand. You’ll head out to relieve assigned routes, ensuring every customer on your list is fully stocked with coffee, tea, and related supplies. You’ll tidy and calibrate their beverage stations, complete at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) daily, and keep equipment clean and operational. Along the way, you’ll spot opportunities to grow revenue per stop through closing distribution gaps, activating seasonal and LTO promotions, and implementing pricing actions—all while delivering exceptional service.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; overtime as needed.

Driving requirements

Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical.

What you’ll do

• Provide route relief as assigned; sell and deliver coffee, tea, and related products to designated customers.
• Deliver, replenish, and rotate product at each stop; verify customers are in stock and serviced as scheduled.
• Keep beverage stations clean, standardized, and performing to spec; conduct a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
• Escalate issues promptly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage daily invoices, on-hand inventory, and collections while on route.
• Increase Revenue per Stop by identifying/closing distribution voids, executing seasonal & LTO initiatives, and applying pricing actions.
• Report inefficiencies, customer concerns, or growth opportunities to the ASM during route relief.
• Assist the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer-related projects as needed.
• Learn brewing equipment operation; perform basic adjustments and minor repairs.
• Follow the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) to drive loyalty; make additional sales calls when time permits.
• Pitch in as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean, strong driving record.
• Route delivery experience a plus; prior foodservice and customer service experience preferred.
