(3rd Shift) Superintendent
IDEAL ELECTRIC CONFORMANCE STATEMENT

- "This position requires access to, or development of, technology or technical data that is subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the ITAR (22 C.F.R. § 120.62) or be able to obtain the appropriate U.S. government authorization (export license) to access such technology or technical data. U.S. Person status is required for this position."
- Assess Operations activities, identify potential corrective actions, monitor corrective actions for effectiveness, and report findings to Plant Manager and Executive Management.
- Ensure adequate staffing for production needs; manage production/welding staff while maintaining good relations
- Provide training, support, direction, & guidance to Production Supervisors & subordinate personnel to assist with job skill development
- Order production-related parts, tools, and supplies as needed
- Record production activities in ERP system as required
- Manage inventory control in ERP system
- Perform production and maintenance services as needed
- Maintain environmental records for compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
- Support quality and safety initiatives; oversee housekeeping efforts in manufacturing areas
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
- Properly handle and store export-controlled data and materials, preventing unauthorized access by foreign persons.
- Maintain and ensure safekeeping in secured area detailed records of all ITAR-related activities, including technical data transfers and access logs.
- Lead by example with ITAR Compliance. Through their words and actions this position shall encourage ITAR/EAR Compliance and should discourage the prioritization of business or other interests over compliance.
- Communicate to employees that they are encouraged to raise questions or concerns about ITAR/EAR Compliance and potential risk areas
- High School Diploma or certified equivalent, and/or education obtained through a tech school, college, or related courses
- Five+ years working in a manufacturing environment & five+ years in manufacturing supervision and/or management role.
- Experience working with customers and vendors in a B2B environment
- Teamwork approach with excellent communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills
- This position often uses standard office equipment such as phones, computers, and copiers/printers.
- Technical literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, project management, and ERP systems
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing maintenance is helpful
- Daily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum. Overtime is required, subject to production schedules and may vary based upon specific customer needs
- May be exposed to confined spaces
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays, and nights
While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
- is regularly required to talk and hear
- is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and enter small and/or confined spaces
- is occasionally required to sit, climb, and/or balance
- must be able to lift 50-75 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding to heights of 30 feet with regularity
- must be able to exhibit specific vision abilities required by this job which include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Although rare, occasional travel may be necessary in this position. In such cases, the employee may be required to:
- obtain and maintain a valid passport and US-issued driver's license
- maintain a driving record that is acceptable for coverage under the company's insurance plan
