Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst III to support a major higher education client. This analyst will play a key role within Student Financials, bridging functional and technical operations. They will oversee critical nightly batch processes, troubleshoot production issues, support integrations, and partner closely with billing, financial aid, HR, and student services teams. The ideal candidate brings strong PeopleSoft Campus Solutions expertise-particularly in billing and collections-as well as SQL and data analysis experience. This role is perfect for someone who can step in quickly, owns their workload, and supports both operational tasks and enhancement projects.

Day-to-Day:

• Monitor and validate all overnight batch schedule jobs (hundreds daily)

• Spot-check billing-related processes

• Address production issues, including integrations with 3rd-party tuition payment tools

• Work with business units (billing, tax office, student insurance, HR tuition remission) to understand needs

• Gather requirements for enhancements and partner with developers

• Provide system updates or insights to business stakeholders

• Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and SQL querying

• Participate in testing and interpret test results

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of data analysis experience

• PeopleSoft Experience - Campus Solutions experience

• Financial background: billing, collections, etc.

• Strong SQL understanding and query development - Testing experience (test scripts, UAT, data validation)

• Higher education environment experience

• Experience supporting financial aid or related functional areas
