Your Role at impact.com :
As a Full Stack Software Engineer in the Gen AI team, you will be responsible for owning and delivering quality features through the full SDLC using Agile methodologies that support our applications’ AI capabilities, such as our ask-impact chatbot, text generation widgets and endpoints, AI settings screens. You will be working on experiences that help our customers achieve the best results on our platform. With impact.com’s large market position, your work will be used by hundreds of thousands, and seen by millions of people all over the world.
Participate in a global team where you can share and learn industry best practices, including technologies throughout the application stack.
What You'll Do:
- Design and develop features, modules, screens, APIs and services
- Leverage and integrate with Google (GCP) services
- Troubleshoot issues before they spoil your weekend
- Be part of a continuously improving, distributed, agile team
- Monitor and support production systems (occasionally off-hours)
- Write and maintain automated tests
- Some amount of AI agent training (prompting)
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of JVM-based (Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure) programming skills
- 2+ years of Java programming skills
- 2+ years of TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML skills
- 1+ years of Python programming skills (school or personal projects OK)
- Experience with building Java applications using Spring
- Experience integrating third party APIs
- Experience working in a professional software organization
- Experience using common development tools like Git, Docker, IDEs, CI/DC
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tooling
- Relational database (SQL) skills
- The drive and ability to quickly learn new tools, systems and domains
- A willingness to share knowledge and help teammates
- A cheery disposition and positive attitude that make others want to work with you
- Efficient communication skills (verbal and written):
- Listen or read carefully and thoroughly
- Explain what you mean clearly and concisely
- When asked something, address the actual question
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with microservices/microfrontend environments
- Experience with Vue.js, Vite, and associated front end technologies
- Experience creating Machine Learning jobs or endpoints
- Experience creating AI agents (prompting)
- Experience developing with notebooks such as Databricks, or Google Colab
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, plus eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant and additional variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance. *This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
